The Importance of Computers

Question: Why is it important to learn about computers and how they affect our lives?

Computers act as a huge part in our lives and without them, our lives would be chaotic. Computers act as a go-to device for our every need. For instance, if we don't know how to cook something or we need a recipe we can just go to.. http://www.google.com/ and type in - dinner recipe. If we were to do this, there would be about 101,000,000 results. But let's say that you are hungry for lunch instead. If you went to google and typed in lunch recipe, you would be able to choose from over 65,500,000 results. Google is just 1 popular website that is used on a daily basis in order to find an answer for your question.

It is important to learn about computers themselves because it is a good way to learn how machines come alive. If we weren't taught about computers, then we wouldn't be able to fix them when they broke. Computers are essential in this day and age, and practically everyone in the United States has about 1 per household.

Not only are computers being used for personal assignments, but they are actually affecting the lives of children more and more with each generation. For instance, in schools, computers are being put in every classroom as a learning tool. Computers can help students study by having a game on them that can test a kid in a certain subject- English, writing, math, history, science, a foreign language, etc. Computers affect our lives much more than they did in the past but that does not mean it's a bad thing. Having technology be a part of our every day means that our nation is becoming more modern, and helping people in ways now that wasn't capable generations ago.

Computers are important in our everyday lives, and it will continue to be this way. Computers are now able to be mobile, so people are connected wherever they go. Computers will just keep upgrading every year and so forth. Technology is important to us, and from here on out, I believe that it will become more important to us in the future.

Some interesting websites that I found while using the computer myself were:
http://www.facebook.com/ (socializing site)
http://www.hulu.com/ (able to watch shows)
http://www.comcast.net/ (used for e-mail purposes)
http://www.easternct.edu/ (the Eastern Connecticut State University website)

  2. This is all absolutely true. Google and Facebook are the two most visited sites on the Web, and they are visited by billions every day, and will most likely continue to do so.
